To see saved passwords on your iPhone, follow these steps:
- Open the Passwords app (iOS 18 or later):
- On iOS 18 and newer, Apple introduced a dedicated Passwords app that stores all your saved passwords and passkeys.
- Open the Passwords app on your iPhone.
- Authenticate using Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.
- Browse through categories or tap "All" to see all saved passwords.
- Tap any entry to view the username and password details. You can also edit or delete passwords here
- Access saved passwords via Settings (iOS 17 or earlier):
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and tap Passwords.
- Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode.
- Select the website or app to view the saved password.
- You can edit or delete passwords from this screen as well
- Using Siri to find passwords:
- Activate Siri and say commands like "Show my passwords" or "What is my [app/website] password?"
- Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode when prompted to reveal the password
Additional tips:
- If you don’t see the Passwords app on iOS 18, you might need to reinstall it from the App Store.
- Passwords are secured and require biometric or passcode authentication to view.
- The Passwords app also categorizes credentials and supports managing passkeys
This method works for passwords saved via iCloud Keychain or the Passwords app integrated into iOS.
