To share your location on Google Maps, follow these steps:

1. Open the Google Maps app on your iPhone or Android device.
2. Make sure you are signed into your Google account.
3. Tap your profile picture in the top right corner.
4. Select "Location sharing."
5. Tap "Share location."
6. Choose how long you want to share your location (e.g., 1 hour, until you turn this off).
7. Select the people you want to share your location with from your contacts, or tap "More" to find more options.
8. You can also share your location by copying the link and sending it via any messaging app if the recipient does not have a Google account.
9. To stop sharing, go back to the "Location sharing" screen and tap "Stop" next to the person's name or for the link sharing.

Additionally, you can share your trip progress with contacts during navigation by tapping the navigation menu and selecting "Share trip progress".
