To sync a Wii Remote with a Wii console, follow these steps:

1. Turn on the Wii console by pressing the Power button.
2. Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console (on the Wii mini, the SYNC button is on the left side near the battery compartment).
3. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote to access the SYNC button. Some models have a hole in the battery cover and a tool on the wrist strap to press the SYNC button without removing the cover.
