To take a screenshot on a Samsung phone, you have several easy methods:
1. Button Combination
- Press and hold the Power (or Side) button and the Volume Down button simultaneously for about 1 second, then release.
- The screen will flash, indicating the screenshot was taken.
- The screenshot will be saved automatically to your Gallery or Photos app
2. Palm Swipe Gesture
- Enable it first: Go to Settings > Advanced features > Motions and gestures, then turn on Palm swipe to capture.
- To capture, swipe the edge of your hand horizontally across the screen (left to right or right to left).
- The screen will flash, and the screenshot will be saved
3. Voice Command
- Use Samsung's Bixby assistant by saying, "Hey Bixby, take a screenshot."
- Or use Google Assistant by saying, "Hey Google, take a screenshot."
- The screenshot will be captured and saved automatically
4. Scroll Capture (for long pages)
- Take a normal screenshot using the button method.
- When the toolbar appears, tap the Scroll capture button (downward arrow) to capture more of the page.
- Keep tapping until the entire content is captured.
- This feature requires Smart capture to be enabled in Settings > Advanced features
These methods cover nearly all Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets, including recent models like the Galaxy S and Note series
