Typing the letter ñ depends on your device and operating system. Here are the most common methods:
On Windows
Using Alt Code
- Make sure Num Lock is on.
- Hold down the Alt key.
- Type 0241 on the numeric keypad for ñ (lowercase).
- Type 0209 for Ñ (uppercase).
- Release the Alt key, and the character appears.
Using Keyboard Layout
- If you have a Spanish keyboard layout enabled, just press the key to the right of L (usually the ; key) or Shift + ~ then n.
On Mac
