To unblock someone on Facebook Messenger, follow these steps:
- Open the Messenger app on your iPhone or Android device.
- Tap the menu button:
- On iPhone/Android, this is usually the three horizontal lines or the profile picture icon in the top left or bottom right corner.
- Go to Settings by tapping the gear icon.
- Select Privacy & Safety.
- Scroll down and tap Blocked Accounts or Blocked People to see the list of blocked users.
- Find and select the person you want to unblock.
- Tap Unblock Messages and Calls or simply Unblock.
- Confirm the unblock action when prompted.
Once unblocked, the person will be able to message and call you again on Messenger
. If you are using Messenger on desktop, the process is similar:
- Open Messenger app or website.
- Go to settings or preferences.
- Find the blocking section.
- Locate the blocked user and click Unblock next to their name
This process restores communication with the person on Messenger but does not automatically add them back as a Facebook friend if they were unfriended.
