- Place the can opener on top of the can lid, ensuring it is flat and properly aligned
- Turn the knob clockwise to attach the opener securely to the can rim. Continue turning the knob clockwise for one full rotation around the can. You may feel a slight release of pressure when the cutting is complete
- To remove the opener, turn the knob counterclockwise and lift the opener upwards off the can
- The lid will still be attached to the can at this point. To remove it, hold the bottom half of the can with one hand. Use the lid claw on the opener to grasp the top rim of the can lid by pressing the claw button. Gently lift the lid off the can. The opener cuts the lid with a smooth edge, so there are no sharp edges to worry about
- If the can has a pull tab, you can use the pull tab opener feature by placing the tab opener through the can tab hole and pulling it toward you to lift the lid
