To withdraw PF (Provident Fund) amount online, follow these steps:
- Ensure your Universal Account Number (UAN) is active and linked with your Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account details. Your KYC (Know Your Customer) information should be updated and verified on the EPFO portal.
- Visit the EPFO Member e-Sewa or Unified Portal and log in using your UAN and password.
- Go to the ‘Online Services’ tab and select ‘Claim (Form-31, 19, 10C & 10D)’ or the relevant claim form.
- Verify your bank account details by entering the account number linked with your UAN and click ‘Verify.’
- Agree to the certificate of undertaking and proceed.
- Choose the type of claim—full withdrawal (Form 19), partial withdrawal (Form 31), or pension withdrawal (Form 10C).
- Enter the required information such as withdrawal amount, address, and purpose (for advance).
- Submit the claim and authenticate through OTP received on your registered mobile.
- After submission, the EPFO processes your request, and the amount is credited to your bank within approximately 15-20 working days.
This process eliminates the need for employer approval if your KYC is complete and verified. Partial withdrawals are possible under specific circumstances like medical emergencies, marriage, or home purchase. Full withdrawal is allowed upon retirement or prolonged unemployment (over 2 months).
