Iryna Zaretska was stabbed multiple times in the neck on a Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) Blue Line train in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was attacked by a man who stabbed her several times with a pocket knife while she was seated on the train. The stabbing occurred around 10 p.m. on August 22, 2025. She eventually died from her injuries after collapsing on the train floor following the attack.
