The component that changes its resistance as the temperature changes is called a thermistor. Thermistors are temperature-sensitive resistors whose resistance varies significantly with temperature changes. There are two main types:

• NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistors, where resistance decreases as temperature increases.
• PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistors, where resistance increases as temperature increases.
