The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded annually by the Norwegian Nobel Committee. It is presented every year on December 10, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel's death, in Oslo, Norway. This is the only Nobel Prize that is not given in Stockholm. The prize is awarded to a person or organization that has done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, the abolition or reduction of standing armies, or the promotion of peace congresses.
