The riviertje (small river) that flows from Driemond to Abcoude is called the Gein. It is about 6 kilometers long and connects the Gaasp and Smal Weesp with the Angstel river near Abcoude. The Gein is known as a scenic waterway along which there are walking routes and some cultural and natural sites to explore near Abcoude and Driemond.
