The objectives on a microscope are attached to the revolving nosepiece, also known as the turret. This part of the microscope holds two or more objective lenses and can be rotated to easily switch between different objectives for various magnifications. The nosepiece is located near the stage, above the specimen being viewed, allowing quick access to different lenses for detailed examination.
