Today, the site where the Twin Towers once stood, known as the World Trade Center site or "Ground Zero," has been transformed into a complex featuring several new structures and memorials. Current key features at the site include:
- One World Trade Center : Completed in 2014, it is the tallest building on the site at 1,776 feet.
- 3 World Trade Center and 4 World Trade Center : Both completed and operational office towers.
- 7 World Trade Center : Completed in 2006.
- National September 11 Memorial & Museum: The memorial retains the exact footprints of the original Twin Towers with two large reflecting pools and waterfalls, symbolizing absence and remembrance. The museum documents the events and impact of 9/11.
- World Trade Center Transportation Hub (Oculus) : Completed in 2016, it serves as a major transit center connecting various subway lines and PATH trains.
- Liberty Park : An elevated park opened in 2016, offering green space and views of the site.
- Ronald O. Perelman Performing Arts Center : Completed recently in 2023.
- St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church : Rebuilt and completed in 2022.

Construction status of other towers:
