The movie "Tomorrow, When the War Began" is an Australian action-adventure war drama film released in 2010. It is based on the 1993 novel of the same name by John Marsden. The story follows a group of seven teenagers, including the main character Ellie Linton, who return from a camping trip to find their country invaded by a foreign power. The teenagers then wage a guerrilla war against the invaders in their fictional hometown of Wirrawee. The film was directed by Stuart Beattie and stars Caitlin Stasey as Ellie Linton. It was released in Australia and New Zealand on September 2, 2010.
