The Canadian International Air Show (CIAS) is an annual air show in Toronto that takes place over the Canadian Labour Day weekend, usually around the end of August and beginning of September. It is held along Toronto's waterfront near Exhibition Place and runs for three days, from around 12:00 pm to 3:40 pm each day. The show features a variety of aerial demonstrations including military and civilian aircraft performances, aerobatic acts, and historic flypasts. The Canadian Forces Snowbirds and the CF-18 Hornet are regular performers, along with other Canadian and U.S. military aircraft. In 2025, the CIAS will run from August 30 to September 1, with a practice day on August 29. It will feature the Snowbirds, the Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18 Hornet, the Northern Stars team, and the United States Air Force F-35 Demo Team, among others. The event is popular for aviation enthusiasts and families, providing a festive atmosphere with Lake Ontario and the Toronto skyline as a backdrop. Admission to the main viewing at Exhibition Place typically requires entry to the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE). The air show has a long history dating back to 1946 and is one of North America's longest-running air shows.
