Antinous and the other men in Odysseus house are known as suitors, people who came from all over in hopes of marrying Penelope and taking control of Odysseus household and riches, as they believed Odysseus was dead. They were taking control over the household and the people living in it, and they were not treating Odysseus with respect, as they saw him as a beggar and not as a guest. Odysseus eventually returns home and kills all the suitors with the help of his son and a few men that recognize him.
