Colorectal cancer may not always cause symptoms, especially at first, but if it does, it may cause one or more of the following symptoms:

• A change in bowel habits that lasts more than a few days, such as diarrhea, constipation, or feeling that the bowel does not empty completely.
• Blood (either bright red or very dark) in the stool.
• Stools that are narrower or have a different shape than usual.
• Frequent gas pains, bloating, fullness, or cramps.
• Weight loss for no known reason.
• Fatigue.

Its important to note that many of these symptoms can be caused by conditions other than colorectal cancer, such as infection, hemorrhoids, or irritable bowel syndrome. Still, if you have any of these problems, it’s important to talk to your doctor so that the cause can be found and treated.
