Low blood pressure, also known as hypotension, may not cause symptoms in some people, but in others, it can cause dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, fatigue, trouble concentrating, and nausea. Other possible symptoms of low blood pressure include confusion, cold and clammy skin, decrease in skin coloration, rapid and shallow breathing, weak and rapid pulse, neck or back pain, headache, blurred or fading vision, and heart palpitations. Symptoms of low blood pressure can be a sign of an underlying health condition, especially when it drops suddenly or occurs with other symptoms. If you have symptoms of extreme low blood pressure or shock, seek emergency medical help.
