Alcohol poisoning is a serious and potentially deadly condition that can occur when someone drinks large amounts of alcohol in a short period of time. The following are the five signs of alcohol poisoning:
- Confusion or slurred speech
- Vomiting
- Seizures
- Slow breathing, which is fewer than eight breaths a minute
- Breathing thats not regular, including intervals of 10 seconds or more between breaths
Its important to note that a person with alcohol poisoning who has passed out or cant wake up could die, and its not necessary to have all the above symptoms before seeking medical help. If you suspect someone has alcohol poisoning, call 911 right away.
