According to various sources, iOS 17 will introduce 108 new emojis, including new smileys, animals, cultural symbols, and more. The new emojis will be available in iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, and will include variations on six different directionality emojis, such as person walking, person running, person kneeling, person with white cane, person in manual wheelchair, and person in motorized wheelchair. The new emojis will also include a phoenix, a brown mushroom, a lime, a broken chain, and four new family emoji combinations. The new family emojis include two adults and a child, an adult and two children, adult and child, and two adults and two children. The new emojis are expected to be added to iOS 17 in early 2024.
