The passing marks out of 80 depend on the exam and the board. For example, in CBSE Class 10 and 12 exams, students must obtain a minimum of 26 marks out of 80 to pass. In ICSE Class 10 exams, students must score 26 marks out of 80 to pass. However, passing marks out of 80 may not be applicable to all exams. For instance, Universal College of Engineering requires students to obtain 40% marks, i.e. 32/80, to pass some courses.
