The constitutional requirements to be President of the United States are:

• Be a natural-born citizen of the United States. This means the person must be a U.S. citizen from birth, either by being born in the U.S. or born abroad to U.S. citizen parents. This requirement was established to ensure the president's loyalty lies strictly with the U.S.
