To join the Air Force, there are different requirements depending on whether you want to join as an enlisted Airman or an officer. Here are the requirements for each:

Enlisted Airman:

• Be between the ages of 17 and 39
• Be a current U.S. citizen
• Have obtained either a high school diploma or GED
• Pass the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) entrance exam
• Pass a physical exam
• Cannot have any serious law violations or drug use or serious health problems

Officer:

• Have a four-year college degree
• Be between the ages of 17 and 39
• Pass the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT)
• Pass a physical fitness test
• Score well on the SAT or ACT
• Have at least 90 college credits (if currently enlisted)
• Have a complete physical exam six months before applying

In addition to these requirements, all Air Force applicants must speak, read, and write English fluently. Applicants must also meet the mental, moral, and physical standards for enlistment.

Its important to note that there are different age requirements for joining as a healthcare or ministry professional, and that there are different age limits for joining the Guard or Reserve. Additionally, non-U.S. citizens can only enlist if they are legally residing in the United States and possess a valid Permanent Resident Card (USCIS Form I-551), commonly known as a “Green Card” .

Finally, all Air Force applicants must take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) entrance exam, which covers four critical areas: arithmetic reasoning, mathematics, word knowledge, and paragraph comprehension.
