Boots is set to close 300 stores across the UK by the end of 2023 as part of a move to "consolidate the business" and reduce its total number of shops from 2,200 to 1,900. The closures will impact stores in close proximity to other sites, and the company has stated that there are no proposed redundancies despite the plan, with plans to redeploy affected workers. Seven Boots stores have already closed, including Church Street, Malvern; Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff-on-Sea; Heathside Road, Woking; King William Street, London; and three others.
