• Recent projections from major outlets have Tennessee most often slotted into Florida-based bowls, especially the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa or the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville.

• Some projections also list the Citrus Bowl in Orlando or, less commonly, the Music City Bowl in Nashville and Duke’s Mayo Bowl in Charlotte as possibilities.

What will determine it

• The exact bowl will depend on Tennessee’s final record, the result of its regular-season finale, and how other SEC teams place in the College Football Playoff and New Year’s Six bowls.

• Once conference championship games and final CFP rankings are set, the bowl tie-ins for the SEC will be finalized and Tennessee’s destination will be announced shortly after.
