Strip Weathers, also known as "The King," is a character in the Pixar movie "Cars". He is a 1970 Plymouth Superbird painted in Dinoco Blue with the Dinoco sponsor and the number "43". The King has a giant, tall blue spoiler on his trunk. In the movie, he is a retired seven-time Piston Cup champion who Lightning McQueen looks up to. Despite being an older car, The King was still fast and had a similar top speed to the newer 2006 NASCAR stock cars like Lightning McQueen. Strip Weathers is also a character vehicle in the Disney/Pixar Cars 3 toy line.
