Michael Oher played college football at the University of Mississippi, also known as Ole Miss. He received scholarship offers from several colleges, including Tennessee, Louisiana State University, Alabama, and North Carolina State, among others, but ultimately decided to play for Ole Miss, the alma mater of his guardians, Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy. Ohers decision to play for Ole Miss sparked an investigation by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) . He was a dominant left tackle and a consensus first-team All-SEC and first-team All-American selection by The Associated Press in his senior year. Oher graduated with a degree in criminal justice in the spring of 2009.
