Peyton Manning attended the University of Tennessee, where he was the starting quarterback for four years. He completed his degree in three years, earning a Bachelor of Arts in speech communication. As a senior, he won many awards, including the Maxwell, Davey OBrien, and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Awards, and finished as the runner-up to Charles Woodson in the 1997 Heisman Trophy voting. Manning led the Volunteers to an SEC championship in 1997. In 2023, Manning returned to the University of Tennessee as a professor of practice for select classes in the College of Communication and Information.
