According to multiple sources, including 9News, News.com.au, The Guardian, and 7News, stand-up comedian, writer, and actor Cal Wilson has died at the age of 53 after a short illness. Her management, Token Artists, confirmed the news in a statement today. Wilson was from Christchurch, New Zealand, but moved to Melbourne in 2003 to star in the well-known sketch show Skithouse. She went on to become one of Australias best-known comedians, with appearances on Spicks and Specks, Good News Week, Would I Lie To You, and in her own Netflix stand-up special. Wilson was most recently co-host of Foxtels Great Australian Bake Off, which was in production when she was first admitted to the hospital. Wilson is survived by her husband, Chris, and son, Digby.
