Latitude always comes before longitude when giving a coordinate. Latitude is written with a number followed by either "north" or "south" depending on whether it is located north or south of the equator. Longitude is written with a number followed by either "east" or "west" depending on whether it is located east or west of the Prime Meridian.

The reason why latitude comes before longitude is not due to a global standard, as there is no such standard. However, it is easy to remember which is which if you think of the two coordinates as a set, where the first number is always the latitude and the second is the longitude.
