GSK still holds the New Drug Application (NDA) for leucovorin and collaborates with the FDA regarding label updates, but it does not manufacture or market it now. There are multiple manufacturers and suppliers of leucovorin (calcium folinate) active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) globally. Some manufacturers include Rochem International Inc, Allastir, Anthem Biosciences, Cerbios-Pharma SA, DEAFARMA, Global Calcium, Hengdian Group, Molclone Labs, Panvo Organics, and others. Therefore, while GSK is the innovator and NDA holder, leucovorin is generally produced by various generic manufacturers worldwide.
