The Coca-Cola Company is a publicly listed company, meaning there is not one sole owner, but rather the company is ‘owned’ by thousands of shareholders and investors around the world. However, the largest shareowner of the company is American businessman Warren Buffett. The Coca-Cola Company owns minority shares in some of its largest franchises, such as Coca-Cola Enterprises, Coca-Cola Amatil, Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, and Coca-Cola FEMSA, as well as some smaller ones, such as Coca-Cola Bottlers Uzbekistan, but fully independent bottlers produce almost half of the volume sold in the world.
