Colorado is in the Big 12 Conference. The University of Colorado Board of Regents unanimously approved a resolution allowing the University of Colorado Boulder to join the Big 12 Conference in 2024-25. Colorado will join the Big 12 at the conclusion of the 2023-2024 school year. The Colorado Buffaloes football program represents the University of Colorado Boulder in college football at the NCAA Division I FBS level and has been a member of several conferences throughout its history, including the Rocky Mountain Faculty Athletic Conference, Mountain States Conference, Big Eight Conference, Big 12 Conference, and Pac-12 Conference.
