The University of South Florida (USF) is a member of the American Athletic Conference (AAC) for all sports besides sailing, a non-NCAA sanctioned sport which competes independently. USF football also competes in the AAC of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) .
