Stockholm is the cultural, media, political, and economic center of Sweden, accounting for over a third of the countrys GDP. It is also among the top 10 regions in Europe by GDP per capita. Stockholm is known for its medieval heritage, preserved in the buildings and alleys of the Old Town. The city is also home to several museums, including the Vasa Museum, which is the most visited non-art museum in Scandinavia.
