Diwali is a five-day festival celebrated in India and other countries. It is an auspicious Hindu festival that falls on the new moon of Kartik month, which comes after 20 days of Dussehra or Vijayadashami every year. On Diwali, Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, is worshiped and her blessing is sought by the devotees. The most auspicious time to do Diwali Puja is after sunset, during Pradosh, when Amavasya Tithi prevails.
