The day on which SSDI checks are deposited depends on the recipients birthday and when they started receiving benefits. If you started receiving SSDI benefits before May 1997 or receive both SSDI and SSI, your payment will be deposited on the 3rd of the month. If you started receiving benefits after May 1997, your payment date will depend on your birthday. Below is the payment schedule for SSDI in 2023:

• If your birthday falls between the 1st and 10th of the month, your payment will be sent out on the second Wednesday of the month.
• If your birthday falls between the 11th and 20th of the month, your payment will be sent out on the third Wednesday of the month.
• If your birthday falls between the 21st and 31st of the month, your payment will be sent out on the fourth Wednesday of the month.

If the payment date falls on a weekend or holiday, the payment will be deposited on the banking day before. If you receive SSI, your payment will be deposited on the 1st of the month, unless the 1st falls on a weekend or holiday, in which case it will be deposited on the banking day before.
