Rapper B.G., born Christopher Dorsey and a founding member of the Hot Boys, went to jail primarily for illegal possession of a firearm and obstruction of justice (witness tampering). In 2009, during a traffic stop in New Orleans, police found three firearms in a stolen car he was in. B.G. pled guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. Additionally, he pressured one of his associates to falsely claim ownership of the guns, leading to a witness tampering charge. He was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison in 2012 for these offenses
