Before Elvis Presley became the "King of Rock and Roll," he worked as a truck driver. After graduating from high school in 1953, Elvis briefly worked for the Crown Electric Company in Memphis, Tennessee, where he drove a delivery truck. During this time, he was also refining his musical talents and making recordings at Sun Records, which eventually launched his music career. This early job was part of his modest start before he rose to fame in music.
