To see the Draconid meteor shower, you should look towards the constellation Draco, the dragon, in the northern sky. The radiant point for the Draconids is near the stars Eltanin and Rastaban, in the head of the constellation Draco. You dont need any special equipment like telescopes or binoculars to view the meteor shower. Instead, go to the darkest possible location, lean back, and relax. Take in as much sky as possible and allow about 30 minutes for your eyes to adjust to the dark. The best time to look for the Draconids is in the evening, after nightfall during the shower peak around October 8. If you want to find the heart of the shower, you can find Draco by looking for the Big and Little Dippers.
