To renew your drivers license in Georgia, you can do it online, in person at a center, or by mail. If you are eligible to renew your drivers license online, you dont need any documentation. However, if you need to visit a DDS branch to renew your Georgia drivers license, youll need to come prepared with the required documents. You must renew in person if:
- Youre applying for your first renewal.
- Your license has been suspended, canceled, or revoked.
- Your most recent Georgia drivers license expired more than two years ago (in which case youll need to retake your drivers test!).
- You are age 64 or older.
