Players do not receive any prize money for participating in the Ryder Cup, even if their team wins. However, the PGA of America awards each player on the Team USA roster $200,000, which is divided into two parts. Half of the amount goes to organizations of the players choice, while the other half is directed to the Boys & Girls Club of America, the Drive, Chip, & Putt Championship, and the PGA Junior League. Team Europes captain also bestows gifts on his players, which are paid for from a Ryder Cup pool of funds. For example, in 2018, Team Europe was treated to a personalized Rolex watch each.
