Soul torches are a type of torch in Minecraft that emit a blue flame instead of the yellowish-orange fire seen on a standard torch. They work mostly the same as regular torches, acting as a light source for the player to utilize. However, there are a few differences between soul torches and regular torches:

• Light level: Soul torches give off a light level of 10, which is lower than the light level of 14 given off by regular torches.

• Snow and ice: Due to their lower light level, soul torches do not melt snow or ice.
