In cricket, NRR stands for Net Run Rate, which is a statistical method used to assess teamwork and/or performance in cricket. It is the most commonly used method of ranking teams with equal points in limited overs league. NRR is calculated by deducting a teams average runs conceded per over from the average runs scored per over. Teams with a higher NRR are those who score more runs than they concede, and vice versa. NRR is used as a tiebreaker if teams are level on points. When calculating NRR, if any side is bowled out, i.e., loses all ten wickets before their quota of overs is exhausted, we must still consider that theyve played their full quota of overs. If a match is forfeited or abandoned, there are rules to calculate the run rate.
