Narcotics: The primary mission of SLED Narcotics is to provide quality assistance to local and federal law enforcement agencies in many areas of drug enforcement. Their highly trained agents seek to identify, disrupt, and dismantle drug trafficking organizations through the use of physical/technical surveillance, intelligence gathering/sharing, and networking with law enforcement agencies around the state.

Alcohol Licensing: SLED Alcohol Licensing Agents conduct investigations in conjunction with rules and regulations set forth by the South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR). Citizens apply for alcohol licenses with SCDOR. Alcohol Licensing Agents receive those applications from SCDOR and investigate the proposed location and applicant in order to verify compliance with the SCDOR’s set requirements.

Citizen Complaints: SLED is committed to receiving and accepting complaints about the actions of SLED or SLED agents. The courteous receipt of complaints, thorough and impartial investigation, and just disposition are important in maintaining the confidence of citizens.
