The Quran does not explicitly mention Palestine being free. However, Palestine is a nation that is held in high esteem in Islamic history and has great significance for Muslims. Some of the major reasons for Palestine being of significance to Muslims are:

• Masjid al-Aqsa: Palestine is home to one of the Sacred Masjid in Islam, the Masjid al-Aqsa. Masjid Al-Aqsa is the third holiest site in Islam. It was the first Qibla for Muslims.

• Night journey of Prophet Muhammad: Palestine was the site of the miraculous night journey of Prophet Muhammad.

• Bani Isreal in the Quran: Many chapters and verses have been revealed in the Quran to enlighten the people about the inhumanity of Israel and its people.

The Quran mentions a war that will take place between the Muslims and the Jews, but it does not mention Palestine by name. The Hadith states that the Muslims will fight against the Jews, and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say so, for it is the tree of the Jews. However, this war will be general, i.e., in Palestine.
