However, some essential oils are safe for cats when used properly and in moderation. The following essential oils are safe for cats:

- Frankincense
- Helichrysum
- Lavender
- Lemon
- Oregano
- Petitgrain
- Rosemary
- Thyme
- Turmeric
- Valerian
When using essential oils around cats, it is important to dilute them and use them in small amounts. Essential oils should not be used on or near a cats eyes, ears, nose, or genitals. It is also recommended to use a water diffuser for aromatic use and allow your pet to roam freely.
