Some sources, such as the Australian Bureau of Statistics, use 2010 as the end year of Generation Z, which would make Generation Alpha begin in 2011. However, some definitions of Generation Z end in 2009 or 2012, which would make the oldest members of Generation Alpha born in 2010 or 2011. Therefore, 2009 is not considered part of Generation Alpha.
