Homecoming is typically not observed in middle schools. It is a tradition in many high schools, colleges, and churches in the United States and Liberia. Homecoming is an event for every student in high school to participate in, usually grades 9, 10, 11, and 12th. However, some middle schools may have their own unique events and traditions that foster school spirit and a sense of community. These events are usually age-appropriate and inclusive for all students. In some rare cases, 8th grade is the freshman year of high school, and in such cases, 8th graders may be able to attend homecoming.
